About this course

Automation is a growth industry for the future and one we are passionate about and have significant experience in.  This qualification provides the opportunity to gain competencies to supervise selection, installation, commissioning maintenance and testing of explosion-protected equipment and systems for control and monitoring of plant and processes. The qualification provides competencies in working with explosion protections techniques with elections in how they apply to coal mining, gas and dust atmospheres. It includes ERAC requirements for an ‘Electrician’s licence’ and competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain stand alone renewable energy equipment and systems. 

 

Skills Lab will provide you with the opportunity to learn from real life examples and insights, as we are a wholly owned subsidiary of SAGE Group of Companies and are sister company to SAGE Automation.  As such, you will have access to current practices and learnings on world leading training platforms.

 

Prerequisites: UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.

Course duration

Flexible, pending your availability and how quickly you can move through the learning modules. We envisage the average training will take 6 - 12 months, however learners have up to 2 years to complete the course.

Delivery options

Training and assessment will be by flexible delivery combing self-paced blended learning, one-on-one learning, lab/site based performance activities and a workplace log book. This course is offered in SA, WA, Vic, NSW, TAS and NT.

Cost

$3,000. Fees will be structured into 3 separate payments spread across the course duration.
